Quite some time ago, I constantly kept getting some spam texts from a UK football club, that I had never heard from and their “shorthand” for the club meant nothing to me until I asked a few people. Now you should forward any spam to 7726 and as I was on O2 I would get a follow up message asking what name or number the spam text came from

Now, I wish I could say that reporting them did anything, but it didn’t and I had to change my number after calling the football club up and asking for my number to be removed and them hanging up on me

Spoofed numbers

I just want to share something with you about spoofed number calls. I was stood near the telephone and fax machine (it was a while ago) and spotted an incoming call, only it was coming from the fax machine next to the phone and I wasn’t faxing anything. Had to contact the company involved and they did indeed confirm that the call didn’t really come from the fax machine and was indeed a spoof call, confirmed by the bill later on and there was no fax tone on picking up the call, it was your usual spam/scam call
